Fan News: Scared Stiffs

On March 28, 2008 (Site News: It’s The Hot Rods!) we added Hot Rods Of The Gods, an adventure book from West End Games. With other game books available here and at GB Fans we figured this was the end of the Ghostbusters hobby for a long time to come.

Less then a month later, I saw that AJ Quick, webmaster of Ghostbusters Fans added the out of print Scared Stiffs to his site. The hobby of ghostbusting is one step closer to completion.

Fan/Merchandise News: Ecto Cooler Is Back

Ghostbusters International® learned this morning that Ecto Cooler®, the “citrus flavored” drink made by Hi-C (Minute Made) is back! It had been out of production for a long time. Then returned as Shoutin’ Orange Tangergreen. Sadly, it too would eventually be phased out of production. Thanks to Matt and his readers over at X-Entertainment, we now know that Hi-C is selling Ecto Cooler® as Crazy Citrus Cooler.

If you have no idea what Ecto Cooler® is or don’t know much about the connection between a fruit juice and Ghostbusters, we highly recommend you read X-Entertainment’s Ecto Cooler Bible.

Fan News: The Ultimate Tribute To A Marshmallow Man

Many of us who grew up in the 1980s have a certain nostalgia for the era. Especially for things that are “pop culture.” If we didn’t have VH-1 or the internet, we doubt anyone would document pop culture this much. No one can deny (they could, but they would be wrong ;) that the blockbuster movies, “no ghost” logos, a hit cartoon, and so much more propelled Ghostbusters into pop culture history.

Matt, webmaster of X-Entertainment, a site devoted to the very pop culture we love wrote a new article devoted to one aspect of the Ghostbusters mythos, The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.* We’re glad he had that dream and his pillow turned into a marshmallow.

Hey Matt, you might want to get in touch with us about that.
