We think we finally figured out a plausible way to archive site news. With that in mind, we put January 2006, February 2006, and March 2006 into the news archives.

Yesterday I worked on and off for hours from the afternoon until bedtime (This is when I wish I was on an hourly wage) on the first GBI, franchise (GBNJ) report of the year. If we met you at Chiller (or you met us) last month and you have pictures of us or with us, please email me.
Chiller “Dead Of Winter” thread.

We never claimed, especially myself that I am clever or funny when it comes to headline titles. I needed a way to combine simultaneous events. That just popped in there. Ghostbusters International® would like to welcome everyone we met and talked to at Chiller. Special hello to the “junior ghostbusters” led by Ethan. We were happy to meet with you guys and your parents. Proving that ghostbusters are good people.
We’ll have a report with pictures posted as soon as we’re able to this week. If you were at Chiller and have pictures of ghostbusters (which are mostly us anyway) please email me.
If you read a previous news update here, on the GBNJ website, or checked the Events area, you know GBI and GBNJ went to Chiller to promote our huge case file turned reality movie, Leeds’ Curse. Where we handed out a limited number of copies to our fans (”The kids love us!”) and Ernie Hudson. More on that as part of the upoming report. While we were at Chiller, Leeds’ Curse premeired on the GBNJ website, mirrored on Dave’s site, and as of yesterday evening is also being mirrored/hosted on ghostbustersinternational.com. Its a Quicktime file and is 67MB. Their is sure to be further news over our exciting, originalish, and funny film starring Ghostbusters-NJ.

Success! The long time planned update and upgrade has been completed for now. Now meaning that we have to check some records concerning some franchises and field agents. It could be a clerical error or bad record keeping. “I blame myself.” - Dr. Spengler “So do I.” - Dr. Venkman Could be a case of where a web server decided to throw a hissy fit (or is just possessed?) and proceeded to terminate a franchise site. Whatever the reason, we’ll get to the bottom of all “missing” franchises. This is where you come in.
If you’re a ghostbuster who runs a franchise or you’re a field agent and are positive you had a website up, please get in touch with me. Once the thread is created, you may also post there if you’d like. If you’re a franchise or a field agent who isn’t fully registered with GBI, please see our Join area, then email me or Dr. Stantz.

It finally began, a major update to ghostbustersinternational.com. Late last year, we began an update/upgrade to our Franchise List area. Unfortunately it would lay dormant in disarray until today. We’ve been working on organizing and updating this very important area of the site since earlier this afternoon. Currently, all of our US franchises aren’t listed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. In the meantime if you need assistance in finding a US franchise or field agent, you can call 884.555.8489. Our client services will be happy to assist you.

Some of you are about as old as me, older, or are so young you don’t even know what a Commodore 64 is. Then again you might because of pop culture or Commodore 64’s place in computer/video game “console” history. Whichever the case, recently I came across a site which allows you to play 100 old skool Commodore 64 games on-line. No download required according to c64.com. Why would I bring this up when you probably make more downtime then you need? Ah, for one important reason, Activion’s Ghostbusters.
Note: Even though no downloading is required, your browser will have to load some kind of java or applet. The irony is while trying to ‘load’ the necessary plug ins on my iBook G4 running a high speed connection, my laptop practically froze. I don’t know if this was a server issue, a ‘back up’ on my network, or just a reminder to me to free up my hard drive. Just a heads up, probably more so if you’re running OS X (10.3.9 or a previous version).

Note: I originally posted this on the forums on January 4, 2006.
Chiller “Dead Of Winter” Show
Chiller Theater has been a staple of GBI before our beloved employer had a website up. I use to attend it when I ran my own NJ franchise. Friend and colleague Bill Malkin and myself always make sure Chiller is on our schedule. For the spook checks, meeting has been celebs, having fun, and of course promotional purposes.
This January 27-29th Chiller is back in the “dead of winter.” GBI employees (Winston and myself so far) and GBNJ (Bill, Dave, and hopefully me naturally) will be there too for one special reason. I’m not sure I can announce that so I’ll leave that to Bill for now.
Also, actor/friend of ours, (well maybe just Winston) Ernie Hudson will be making an appearance.
If you’re in the tri-state area and are planning on attending, try and let me/us know.

As Rich alluded to. (and if you read my posts under Franchise Films) I intend on presenting Ernie Hudson a copy of our soon to be finished film. We’ll also be running off a limited run of DVDs for our fans. So if you want to get a copy, come to Chiller and show your GB love by wearing some GB merch.

Beyond Chiller, down south in the shades of the palm trees, the Tampa Ghostbusters will be representing their franchise and hopefully GBI when they attend Megacon in Orlando, FL the weekend of February 24th - 26th, 2006.

The Indiana Ghostbusters have been around unofficially since summer 2005. Their unofficial status ended about two weeks ago when Ghostbusters International® was finally able to make them official. Welcome again to our hard working, tax paying family. We hope to see you around our forums. Remember registration is free to all.
