Randy Faulk and his cohorts at N.E.C.A who’ve previously brought us collectible toys such as Gozer, Terror Dogs, a 15 inch Stay-Puft, and Slimer recently revealed at a Wizard World - Philly panel that they’re planning a translucent Slimer figure. Which would be released in time for Ghostbusters™: The Video Game. No word if N.E.C.A could and will be making other toys based on the game. You may recall that “likeness rights” have prevented the fan base from having the guys themselves.
Maybe their lawyers should call Louis.

Twenty fours years ago, Bill Murray was a guest on Late Night with David Letterman promoting Ghostbusters which opened on Friday, June 8, 1984.
Thanks to the internets and our archives, we’re able to share* the interview with you. If anyone has Dan’s appearance on The Tonight Show from around the same time, please let us know. Like Bill’s interview it appeared on You Tube.

Ghostbusters premeired 24 years ago today, June 8, 1984. I was 6 then, even at 30 I still remember what it felt like as I saw the teaser* trailer, the trailer, and the movie.
I once wrote an article about why I like other fans are so into Ghostbusters. If I find it, it will be posted on the site.
I couldn’t wait for the day. I’m pretty sure at 6 years old I didn’t get to see it right away. My family and my parent’s friends not only took me to see it, but took me to see Ghostbusters one more time! In 1984 when you’re 6 it’s unheard of. I wouldn’t see Ghostbusters in a movie theater again until 2007!
As we look back on our orginal memories and what’s to come for Ghostbusters, we can feel at peace. Feel free to share your Ghostbusters movie memories in the comments.
*The teaser trailer is being shared for historical and entertainment value. The teaser trailer is on-line without permission from Columbia Pictures, (Sony) talent, their management, or their lawyers. If it really needs to be taken down, please email Richard Roy and I’ll remove the file.
