Uh, We’re Back…
If you happened to check out the GBI forums today, you would have seen in the news header that the site redesign is finished. With news to be posted later. Its later. All this news would have been up sooner, but some major storm blew all this cold, wet stuff in and some of us had to help shovel and haul this crap away. Not only do we not have interns at 3:30 AM to do it for us, when it comes to dealing with snow and ice, we don’t even have the tools. We still have the talent though.
G.B.Iweb.net Version 2.0 Now Available!
What was all this hype about? “Hype” that you were able to see for almost a day now. Like with my own site (shameless plug not coming) redesign, it wasn’t planned. I had the idea for the new color scheme after looking at a car club message board. Though I did change the scheme a little. Anyhow it only dawned on me later on (it was getting late) that red and white has pretty much been the color scheme of Ghostbusters Inc. for the last 20 years. With that in mind, version 2.0 also arrives in plenty of time for our 20th anniversary in June. Clever huh?
Now you know the company site kicks even more butt, what’s new? For starters (or next) the text graphics. Our crack web team went through the hottest fonts on the planet (”We did?” - Web Team Member) and drank just one more Coca~Cola to get it just right. We think of it as our Stay Puft Man® like font. Without stepping all over there copyright. Along the same changes, is to the menu. For easier navagation, its been broken down into sections. We don’t expect you to remember this after today, the sections are: 1. The Important Company Sections. 2. The Other Company Sections, including 1984© and Pictures (formerly Gatherings). 3. Misc. links which “house” the Ghostbusters website and the T.O.B.I.N network.
We also designed an all new title logo for the site and our forums. Besides adding the Misc. links, we removed the 1984© section all together. Store news was always reported here and will continue to be reported here. You think someone would have thought of this sooner, we also want to use1984© itself to promote our existing and upcoming merchandise.
